1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Labyrinth AI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Labyrinth AI provides interactive 3D simulations for chemistry, medicine, circuit wiring, and engineering. All simulations, models, equations, and balancing reactions are for educational illustration and research purposes only.

⚠️ 2. Offline Simulation Safety Warning

CRITICAL SAFETY NOTICE:

All chemical reactions, circuit voltages, and machine tolerances simulated inside the Labyrinth AI workspaces are entirely virtual. They should NOT be replicated in real-world offline environments without professional academic supervision, proper ventilation, fire protection, and personal protective equipment (PPE). We do not guarantee the safety or success of performing any simulated reaction offline.

3. User Accounts & Login Credentials

To access full laboratory sessions, you must log in using a validated account (orchestrated securely via Firebase Auth). You are entirely responsible for safeguarding your login tokens and checking your access privileges. Any activities conducted through your account are your sole responsibility.

4. Billing, Subscriptions & Refunds

Labyrinth AI offers Pro and Institutional licenses billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Razorpay.

• Razorpay Processing: All transactions are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store card or banking details on our servers.
• Refund Window (General): Standard user subscriptions qualify for a 14-day refund window from the initial billing event.
• US-Specific Consumer Refund & Return Clauses: In the United States, e-commerce rules regarding refunds and returns operate on a state-by-state basis. However, we automatically grant an extended 30-day refund window for all United States consumers across all 50 states to ensure full compliance with regional consumer protection regulations. If you are dissatisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase without penalty.
• Institutional Purchases: Institutional and school district license refunds are governed by specific procurement agreement clauses.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Labyrinth AI, its directors, employees, or developers be liable for any offline injuries, fires, hardware/circuit damage, or legal issues resulting from attempting simulated experiments offline. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

6. COPPA Compliance (Children Under 13)

Labyrinth AI is committed to protecting the privacy of children. Use of the Service by children under the age of 13 requires verifiable parental consent or prior authorization from their school or educational institution, acting as the parent's agent. Educational institutions utilizing the Service with students under 13 represent that they have the authority to consent to our data collection practices on behalf of parents under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parents or guardians retain the right to review, edit, or request the deletion of their child's account data at any time.

7. FERPA Compliance (Student Educational Records)

For educational institution accounts, Labyrinth AI acts as a "School Official" under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) with a legitimate educational interest. We protect all student education records in accordance with FERPA and applicable state student privacy laws. Labyrinth AI will never sell student data, use student data for targeted behavioral advertising, or build student profiles for non-educational commercial purposes.

8. Educational Institution Accounts & DPAs

Educational institutions, school districts, and university departments subscribing to Labyrinth AI must enter into a student Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to govern data handling, privacy compliance (including California SOPIPA, New York Ed Law 2-d, and Illinois SOPPA), and end-of-term data erasure protocols.
